Lufthansa Global Business Services (LGBS) operates as an international organization with a worldwide  delivery structure providing business services in the areas of Finance, HR, Revenue Accounting, Management Reporting and Procurement for entire Lufthansa Group.

Krakow Center is the main hub for the delivery organization including also central functions for the group companies covering both standard as well as customized processes for airline business. Besides operations, Krakow Center has also teams specialized in Process Management, Migration Support, Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, in particular Source-to-Contract, Purchase-to-Pay, Catalogue and Contract Management, Tailend Management Experience with relevant procurement systems and platforms, in particular: SAP MM, SRM, Wallmedien, procurement marketplaces (e.g. Meplato, amazon business)
  • 5-10 years’ experience in leading Procurement operations/ processes for large global client as a Solution Architect, ideally also as Operations Manager
  • Consulting experience will be an asset
  • Proven track record of driving change in people and processes, with strong project management, implementation and process improvement skills
  • Consultative skills and structured thought process, creative thinking/ innovative mindset
  • Ability to engage senior client management on offerings, emerging issues in focus sectors, lead project scope discussions and provide insightful recommendations across the procurement spectrum
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to build strong partnerships, works and communicates well with all levels of  leadership (both client & internal)
  • Ability to work in matrix organization and cross functional teams
  • Ability to travel to client locations as needed (average 30-40%)
  • Excellent command of English


Responsibilities:

Business Strategy, Policy & Tools

  • Ensures the smooth implementation of the provided strategy for Global Procurement Service Delivery in the center Cracow, regarding the organisational development / delivery model assuring compliance and quality with lower costs and higher productivity
  • Is responsible for smooth & consistent service delivery for Procurement services of respective group companies / countries out of the delivery center Cracow
  • Manages operational performance - cost - efficiency / unit costs, high quality & compliance, business partner satisfaction (key performance indicators)
  • Service level realization for Procurement services acc. quality and cost agreed with group companies or respective corporate functions:
    • Develops organizational structure in the center to develop from a customer-oriented structure (lift - and - drop - approach) to a process oriented division of work (along with process harmonization)
    • Escalation instance for process managers, migrations and process improvement projects

Organization and Processes

  • Ensures of efficient development of internal processes and organization within Procurement Services provided from Cracow. Steering and Controlling of the key performance indicators

Reporting

  • Prepares periodically reports and analysis documentation for the KRK BE / G

Leadership

  • Leadership, Motivation and Development of the subordinate staff in the context of corporate management principles. Ensuring efficient organisational structure and process organisation in the area of delegation

Solutioning

  • Clarifies and translates business requirements into a standard solution offering deal approach, solution plan, proposal and cost estimate leveraging standard process methods, deliverables and the right collection of offerings
  • Prepares the spend estimate, schedule, work plan, resource / sourcing plan
  • Represents the solution offering to the client business and aligns the solution with final terms. Collaborates with the Process and / or Product Owners, operations and procurement organizations to plan and architect the overall delivery solutions and capabilities to support the service offerings
  • Sponsors / leads the initiatives to deploy new architecture & capabilities across the teams required for service offerings and stable and efficient operations
  • Interfaces with the delivery organizations to ensure effective transition, shape services, collaborate on clear solution assumptions, determine appropriate service delivery locations and related cost to deliver
  • Ensures delivery architecture is implemented according to policies / standards and solution is benchmarked externally
  • Maintains a keen understanding of marketplace intelligence (trends, best practices etc.) in order to provide market leading perspectives, emerging trends, tools and techniques that can be effectively utilized to develop and promote business
  • Benchmarks solutions with leading industry best practices and measurement systems to monitor efficiency of the solution teams and effectiveness of responses
