Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Service Desk team and activities, including the team leads
  • Acts as a further escalation point for the team leads
  • Ensures a high Customer focus
  • Reports to senior manager on any issue that could significantly impact the business
  • Takes overall responsibility for incident management and request fulfillment on the IT Service Desk
  • Ensures that staffing and skill levels are maintained throughout operational hours by managing shift staffing schedules, etc.
  • Day to day and people management of IT Service Desk employees
  • Acts as an escalation point where difficult or controversial calls are received
  • Produces statistics and management reports
  • Arranges staff training and awareness sessions
  • Assists Service Desk Analysts in providing first line support when workloads are high, or where additional experience is required
  • Participates in ITSM core process work and continuously gain and maintain knowledge about our existing and new processes
  • Participates in hand over from project to operation
  • Close cooperation with colleagues throughout Global IT
